Do I have to pay first and last months' rent?
We will require the first month's rent and the security deposit, but not the last month's rent.
How much is the security deposit and is any of it refundable?
Our security deposit is either $750 or equal to one month's rent based on screening results. This is refundable when you vacate as long as there are no damages or unpaid fees.
What leasing options are available?
We are pleased to offer flexible lease terms.
Do you offer individual leases with co-living?
We do not offer individual leases (by-the-bed) with co-living arrangements (individual leases with private rooms and shared commons spaces). We offer a single lease with everyone 18 years and older on the same lease.
What are your application requirements?
All applications are processed through a third-party screening. Household income, credit, criminal history, and housing history are all looked at.
Can I apply online?
Yes! use the Apply tab on our website to get started.
Is there an application fee?
No, there is not an application fee.
Are any utilities included in the rent?
Trash removal is included in your rent. Residents are responsible to pay for gas, electric, water and sewer charges
Do you require renter's insurance?
Yes, we do require renter's insurance. A minimum of $100,000 in limited liability coverage is required. Proof of policy must be provided to the leasing office prior to move in.
Do you have additional items I can rent?
Yes, garage parking is available at an additional monthly cost.
What happens if I need to move out before my lease expires?
Princeton Properties does not offer a lease-break policy. These cases are handled individually.
Can I sublet my apartment or list it on Airbnb or VRBO?
We do not allow subletting or listing on short-term rental sites like Airbnb or VRBO.
What are the occupancy limits for the apartments?
Two people in a two-bedroom and four if at least one member of the household is under the age of 18 and living with a parent or guardian.
When is rent due and how do I pay? Is there a grace period?
Rent is due on the first of the month and can be paid through our website via the Resident Portal. $50 late fee after 30 Days
Do I need a lease guarantor?
Guarantors are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Are there Qualifications - income, credit history checks, criminal history, rental history, etc.?

When is rent due and how can I pay my rent? What forms of payment are acceptable?
Rent is payable by the 1st and can be conveniently submitted online via your resident portal. An ARC payment from your bank incurs no fee. Additionally, debit and credit card payments are accepted, are subject to a convenience fee.
What are hours of the leasing office?
Leasing office hours are 9 AM - 6 PM, Monday - Friday 10 AM - 4 PM, Saturday, and Closed Sunday
What are the hours for the clubhouse?
The clubhouse is open 9 AM - 6 PM, Monday - Fri;day 10 AM - 4 PM, Saturday, and Closed Sunday
What are the hours for the fitness center?
For your convenience, our Fitness Center is open 24 hours!
What are the hours for the pool?
The pool is open from 11 AM to 8 PM, daily.
What are the hours for the business center?
The business center is open 24/7 — so do your work when it fits your schedule.
What are the hours for utilizing outdoor amenities?
With the exception of the pool, all outdoor amenities are open 24 hours.
What are the hours for the laundry facilities?
All units have in unit laundry
Do you provide cable/internet?
Residents are responsible for securing their own cable/internet. Cable service is available through Comcast as a separate charge.
Do you offer valet trash removal service or recycling?
Unfortunately, we do not offer these services at this time.
Do you have package lockers/how do I get my packages?
Yes, we have a Package Concierge which is accessible 24/7.
Do you have additional storage available?
We do not have additional storage available on the property.
How do I reserve community amenities?
Amenities do not need to be reserved.
Does this community have a pest control service?
Yes. We have a pest control service that comes in regularly.
Does the community have bicycle racks?
Yes, we have bicycle racks available for residents to use.
I have a noise complaint. Who do I contact?
Please contact the leasing office for help in resolving a noise complaint.
What is the smoking policy?
We are pleased to be a smoke-free community.
I have a maintenance/emergency maintenance issue; who do I contact?
Please contact the Leasing Office-we have 24-hour maintenance available.
Do you allow pets? What is the pet policy?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community. Indoor cats are permitted. The monthly pet rent per cat is $40.00 per month, not to exceed 2 cats. Additional restrictions apply and will be explained during the leasing process. Dogs of non-aggressive breeds are permitted in certain apartment homes. The monthly pet rent for a dog is $75.00 per month. Additional restrictions apply and will be explained during the leasing process. This policy is subject to change without notice.
What is the parking situation?
Unassigned surface parking and assigned garage parking is available. Contact Leasing Office for details.
What is the policy for snow removal?
All residents must move their vehicles the morning after the storm to a cleared area.
Are there building quiet hours?
Yes. Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 8 AM. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
What decorations or changes to the apartment are prohibited?
We ask that you return the apartment to the same condition it was in when you moved in prior to moving out.
Can I have a grill on the patio?
Electric grills only. Your balcony must not be used for storage of any kind.
What is the procedure for moving in/out?
Key pick up/return is scheduled with the Leasing Office.
Are there restrictions for what can be put on balconies or patios?
No grills, no bicycles, the patio/ balcony is not to be used as storage.
Are washers and dryers available? Are they in the apartment?
Washers and dryers are included in each apartment.
What appliances are in the kitchen?
Each apartment is equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and microwave. Happy cooking!

Am I able to renew my lease? How?
Yes, you will automatically be sent a renewal 60-90 days before your lease end date. Contact the leasing office for any questions.
Can I add occupants to my lease? What is the process?
Contact the leasing office - information required to add and send over invite, completes application and proper screenings
Am I able to transfer from my current apartment to a new apartment or building?
Yes but you need to reside in your current apartment for at least 6 months before doing so. Transfer fee of $1,000 (as long as something is available). No transfer fee if you complete your lease term then transfer.
How do I put in a maintenance request? How long does it take for maintenance to respond to a request?
Either through the resident portal or by emailing/calling the office to let us know and we will submit. Almost immediately - issue is typically taken care of same day as long as it's during maintenances work hours (8-4:30) / do not need to order any parts
What is the emergency maintenance number?
978-905-8901 (our office number, redirects you to our off site leasing office who then gets in contact with on call maintenance with you on the line)
What constitutes an emergency maintenance request?
No heat in the winter, no AC in the summer, fridge/freezer not working, leaks
How do I enter a maintenance request online?
Under "my apartment" tab, choose "maintenance" then you are able to "request maintenance"
What are the fitness center hours?

How many parking passes do I get?
We offer one off-street parking permit per apartment home. Tandem parking for two resident vehicles is available at an additional $50/month pending availability.
What are snow removal protocols?
We will have plows come through for regular salting as well as shoveling/plowing after every inch of snowfall during the winter. The day after a storm where more than 3" of snow has fallen, maintenance will go building to building and knock on doors to have residents move their vehicles for them to plow the rest of the parking lot.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes, 9:00pm-8:00am.
Can I have a pet(s)? Is there a pet rent or breed restrictions? What is the process?
At Princeton at Mount Vernon, we feel your pets are members of our extended family, so we strive to make them feel right at home. Our community welcomes kitties of all kinds. For each cat - with a maximum of two - there is a pet rent of $40 per month. Please contact our leasing office to learn more!
How do I get my packages?
We do not have a package locker, but accept all packages at the leasing office for pick up.

Maintenance can make replacement keys if any are damaged/misplaced, charges may apply.

Your electric meter number is provided to you in your move-in checklist email, please call National Grid to set up service. Water and gas are covered by Princeton Properties. To have internet and/or cable installed please contact Comcast/Xfinity or Verizon.

What can and cannot go down the garbage disposal?
"Only small food scraps and water should be put down the disposal, while the water and the disposal are running. After the scraps are gone, allow the disposal and water to run for about 30 seconds.
Stringy foods such as celery, squash or any peels such as onions or potatoes, rice, egg shells, pasta, cigarettes or any objects can not go down your disposal."
What is the smoking policy?
Our community is a breath of fresh air. We do not allow smoking in the apartments, buildings, or parking lots.
Can I paint the walls or install my own fixtures?
No.
